General Assembly and IETM Talks and Listens: How Political Should IETM Be?

At IETM Ghent in 2007, members agreed that their network could represent them politically: this means engaging in cultural advocacy actions at EU and other levels. Where are the limits of this engagement? IETM is increasingly asked to support – or react against – censorship, wars, impingements of human rights… which hurt artists as well as others. Requests come to us from artists and arts organisations. In today’s global economic and political evolution, does IETM stand in solidarity? To be discussed at IETM Talks and Listens!
The IETM Talks and Listens will take place following the General Assembly of the network and all interested participants are welcome, whether they are IETM members or not. You can get to know more about the network, the results from last years’ activities and future projects. During the assembly, we will also elect a new member of the Board.
