IETM organises professional meetings where IETM members meet face-to-face, share information, exchange, discuss, discover and act. In the meetings, IETM identifies, collects, analyses and documents ‘stories’ of good practice that feed these exchanges.

IETM is also an information and communication platform, which collects and spreads relevant information on contemporary performing arts and ‘stories’ of good practice, and facilitate the continuity of networking and the engagement of members outside the IETM Meetings.

IETM strongly engages in advocacy and solidarity actions through partnerships, advice, policy recommendations, consultations, meetings with institutions, events, public speeches, training sessions. IETM acts as a representative of the sector, indentifies common concerns, formulates recommendations and promotes them to policy makers and the sector.
