Managing your Art
IETM is pleased to pilot a new training course supported by the British Council at the Amsterdam plenary. The pilot will be led by British trainers and experienced experts currently practicing as producers both in the UK and internationally. We hope that the outcomes of this pilot will encourage other international arts agencies to come on board in future to help develop the training courses in an ongoing pan-European and global context.
Who is it for?
Managing your Art is aimed at small companies and solo artists who need to investigate their artistic and business development. The course is useful for anyone at the start of their artistic journey or for those who are already presenting work but haven’t had the time to consider the basics of their artistic offer.
What will it do?
The course will be a mix of practical workshops, discussions and peer learning. Its main aim is to enable you to interrogate your creative business model. It will look at the building blocks of:
- mission
- values
- capacity
- planning
- understanding the unique selling point
- building partnerships and collaborations
Who will be involved?
The training will be led and facilitated by Gary Hills who many of you will know from previous IETM meetings. Gary has also worked as a trainer and workshop leader for the British Council. Gary will work in collaboration with Veselin Dimov and Aniko Racz.
How do I join?
In order to ensure that participants are at the appropriate stage of development, and as numbers will be limited, taking part in the course is by application. Please complete the form below by 8 April.
