A Need for the Unknown: New Forms of Mobility
How do we keep mobile when resources and access begin to thin? Programming international large-scale productions is becoming more and more a privilege for big house theatres and national festivals. However, international exposure, trans-border live contacts, and discoveries of new horizons are as essential as ever for artists. Co-productions, residencies or inviting artists to recreate a production in a host city seem to bring an alternative to touring productions. Are there others new models being used? This session will discuss ways to reach new audiences while being economically savvy and leaving a lighter carbon footprint.
