The maze of cultural mobility: how to navigate your way?
International and national political contexts increasingly resist international cooperation. What incites us to engage in co-productions, touring, international meetings and other forms of cross-border cooperation? What keeps us motivated to travel across borders despite the obstacles we face? Is mobility a source of strength in times of national/regional constraint, or does it just highlight the inequalities of those lacking access to information and resources? What does “East” and “West”, "North" and "South" mean when collaborating across borders? How can we consider this in terms of working conditions, artist income, and mutual understanding? These questions have been definitely asked in past IETM meetings. However they are still, desperately, relevant today.
