Hint: Look for a docked ship!
A wide range of Hungarian policymakers from various backgrounds will discuss the context of Hungary’s arts life. How do they interpret the role of the arts in Hungary and what is their vision on what the future will bring? How does politics impact the life of artists? This debate, moderated by BBC journalist Nick Thorpe, will give us an insight into this country’s (cultural) policy before we dive into the meeting.
The session will be undertaken in collaboration with the European network Trans Europe Halles, which will hold its plenary at these same dates in Budapest.
