Artistic walk - Werksviertel
For most of the 20th century, the train station Ostbahnhof served as barrier between the romantic architecture of Haidhausen and an industrial area where – among others – potatoes were processed. Today, digital industries, creatives and artists are settling in the Werksviertel, where the art center and artists’ space whiteBOX opened its doors in May 2016. The walk links Munich‘s biggest arts‘ center, the Gasteig to the new hotspot behind the east station.
