Connected centres
Cooperation has been an essential element of our network since its foundation and is now a common mode of action for the vast majority of our members. Some might say that we have reduced our militant ambitions (bringing artists and audiences together through aesthetics and innovative productions, building bridges between distant territories) to steer international cooperation towards more pragmatic horizons: helping the performing arts sector to face the difficulties it encounters today.
However, at this session, based on the rich experience of the participants, all together we aim to identify and share practices to extend the geographical territories of cooperation (in particular to EU neighbourhoods), take into account the different regional issues of the performing arts, enhance the diversity of aesthetics, and design more innovative cooperation mechanisms. Building up on the inspiring discussion in IETM Porto, this workshop will offer a participative process aimed at investigating different cooperation models for more progressive and balanced collaboration.
