Rapture and Rage - LIGNA
The German collective LIGNA, which specialises in media arts and performances, and the Bulgarian artists Stephan A. Shtereff and Emilian Gatsov use an unusual multimedia theatrical performance to study fundamentalism and radical communities. In Rapture and Rage, they address the logic of historical events, theories and analyses, and recreate contemporary processes by turning the audience into protagonist, in a compelling audio walk through the history of authoritarian regimes. Why is the promise of democratic societies losing its appeal? Why is authoritarian leadership being seen by many as a solution?
