El cielo ahora reflects on the classical myth of Perseus and applies it to the present day. With a focus on the accumulation of historical monuments, Olatz de Andrés considers whether the present matters more than the past. This notion surprises the sky. The sky belongs to neither the past nor the present. Instead, it exists as a constant presence that observes us from above. Sculpture and myth from both ancient and contemporary times lay down the stage for dance and theater.  

Olatz de Andrés started her career as a choreographer in 2007 in Bilbao and has become a reference for the contemporary dance sector in the Basque Country. Her work focuses on translating various disciplines - cinema, paint and sculpture, among others - into dance.
