Linguistic imperialism
What makes a language a language? How is it different from a dialect, a register, a jargon, an idiolect, if not by the fact that it belongs to the dominant urban class? How can a language break through power relations and gain recognition? What can be done to prevent the disappearance of less widely spread languages under the pressure of a dominant one and sustain a place in which they all co-exist?
