Ariane Cuminale
Brazil
Ariane is a Brazilian producer with over ten years of experience and based in São Paulo. She graduated in Arts-Theatre from Unesp (São Paulo, Brazil) and studied Latin American Theater and Cinema at UBA (Buenos Aires, Argentina). Her career includes internships at cultural institutions like Sesc SP and the São Paulo City Cultural Office. Since 2016, Ariane has been part of Corpo Rastreado, an 18 year old production company. Since 2020, she coordinates the Corpo a Fora, an initiative by Corpo Rastreado for the internationalisation of Latin American artists.
Stephanie García
Mexico
Stephanie is a Mexican artist, arts administrator and arts advocate. Her work and career have been multi-awarded and funded by organisations and programmes from the USA, Canada, Spain, the Netherlands and Mexico. She is also co-founder and co-director of PROArtes México, which supports the creation/promotion of exemplary contemporary Mexican art and fosters the bilateral exchange of art/artists between - but not limited to - Mexico and the USA.
Stephanie is a member of the U40 Mexico Network under the 2030 UNESCO initiative, the Latinx Hispanic Dancers United, LAIGN (Yale/CIEG UNAM) and IETM.
Ophelia Jiadai Huang
China
Ophelia is a curator, dramaturg, artist and researcher from Shanghai. She currently works in Shanghai Dramatic Arts Centre leading international projects and is Program Director for ACT Shanghai International Theatre Festival. She also co-creates with other artists independently. Her own and collaborative works have been presented in venues and international festivals. She curated Forest Fringe Festival in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou (2015), worked as the dramaturg of New Writing in China Project (2015-2017) by Royal Court Theatre. She also writes about performing arts and plays an active role in regional and local networks.
Riham Isaac
Palestine
Riham is a Palestinian performance artist who seamlessly blends acting, singing, dancing, and video to craft captivating live performances. Her work reflects the innovative art scene in Palestine exploring gender, politics and societal dynamics. Riham co-directed 'The Alternativity' with Danny Boyle and Banksy, showcased on BBC2 in 2017. Her recent solo piece, ‘Another Lover's Discourse ليه خلّتني أحبك,’ commissioned by BIAF, received acclaim, touring the UK and earning a VAULT Festival 2023 nomination. Riham leads impactful collaborations, enriching Palestine's cultural fabric through community engagement.
Vikram Iyengar
India
Vikram is an arts leader and connector based in Calcutta, India while working internationally. As a dancer, choreographer and director, curator-presenter and arts researcher-writer, his work spans performance practices, discourse, critique, ideation, consultancy and management with the central tenet of creating deep connections through the arts.
As an ARThink South Asia Arts Management Fellow, he is a Fellow Grad of the ISPA and alumnus of Creative Australia's International Arts Leaders Programme. In December 2015, he was awarded the Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar for contemporary dance by the national Sangeet Natak Akademi.
Carole Karemera
Rwanda
Carole is a Rwandan artist, director and culture policy expert trained in Music and Drama at Conservatoire Royal de Musique (Belgium). She performed in international productions directed by Peter Brook, Raoul Peck, Marion Hansel, Jacques Delcuvellerie, Wim Vandekeybus and Garrett List.
Carole is the Executive Director of ISHYO, a women-led organisation whose main goal is to make culture accessible to everyone. Its activities include advocacy, capacity building, arts creation and festivals’ production (Kina, Home Sweet Home, Kuya Kwetu, Literature). Her artistic work focuses on participation, memory, arts for young audiences and arts-sciences.
Lassina Kone
Mali
Lassina is a choreographer and artistic director from Don Sen Folo (Mali), working in the creation and transmission of choreographic writing in common spaces (public spaces) in Africa. ‘For me, what's important is the process, what invites dance into itself, it's an experience that builds the human being and gives birth to dance.’
He works with his master Karim Togola in Mali, with whom he was introduced to traditional dance or with the École des Sables in Senegal, as well as with his community in Bancoumana, where the Don Sen Folo - LAB was born, with the desire to offer artists a place dedicated to residency and transmission.
Korina Kordova
Sweden
Korina is a Stockholm-based Brazilian/Greek artist working in the fields of choreography and dance. Her practice unfolds as live choreographic works, scores in both written and aural forms, installations and other ‘hard-to-name-things’. Interested in processes of transposition, trans-corporeality, healing, divination and myth-making, her work draws from feminist new materialisms, ecological thinking and decoloniality. She holds a Master’s in Performance Practices from ArtEZ University of the Arts (NL) and has recently completed a postmaster at The Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm.
James Notin
Nigeria
James is a Yoruba-Nigerian experimental artist and performance curator whose work investigates individuals in universal space and structure. Their works are based on the curation of public opinion and selective observation as a tool for distorting contemporary society to create a liberal space for analysing the social structure and their politics.
Assuming human societies are bordered by future anxiety and future perspectives, Notin engages systems through the lens of an outsider to open up an alternative and interactive space. James is a co-curator at Tantdile Xperimenta Lab.
Horacio Pérez
Chile
Horacio is an independent curator and creative producer of performing arts. His practice is related to international programming, mobility and networking. He was coordinator of PLATEA, Programmers Week of Teatro a Mil Festival (a platform that promotes Latin American theatre and dance) and has collaborated with international institutions like The Festival Academy, Próximamente, OpenScape and The Public Theater. As a producer, he has toured with Latin American artists and companies in fifteen countries. He has been selected for training programs like Atelier for Young Festival Managers, Producers Academy and an exchange at Holland Festival.
