SAVE THE DATE: Berlin Performing Arts Festival - June 5 to 10, 2018
www.performingarts-festival.de
From June 5 to 10, 2018, the Performing Arts Festival Berlin invites the audience as well as performing arts professionals from around the world.
For six days, the Performing Arts Festival serves as a window to Berlins vital independent performing arts community! It takes place at more than 60 performance venues all over the city and presents working in every genre imaginable: from theater to performance, puppet theater and music theater, dance theater, installations as well as new circus and site-specific work. From Wagner’s Siegfried to Rio Reiser, world history or family drama, political content on a high wire act, Dadaism and quite tone – at large institutions on small stages, or at the bus stop.
Under the title Introducing, the festival presents exciting, young artists that Berlin’s independent performing arts community will be able to look forward to. These new voices are presented as highlights from tomorrow today over the course of four days during the festival.
The schedule of programming will be supplemented by ancillary programming as well as special formats and events for German and international professionals.
Nearly 12,000 tickets sold last year attest to the public interest in this still-young festival format. Furthermore, over 500 guests and industry professionals from 20 different countries attended the professionals’ program in 2017.
We’d like to give you a heads up and warmly invite you to the Performing Arts Festival Berlin in June 2018!
