Staff Exchange Programme 2020
Our Staff Exchange Programme offers our members a unique opportunity to gain a short but valuable international experience by joining the team of another member organisation and hosting a professional from abroad. The duration of an exchange programme may vary from 1 week to 3 months or more, and it will take place between April 2020 and March 2021.
The programme is aimed at helping you to get an insight into different working practices and professional cultures, to learn new approaches to deal with your tasks and exchange know-how with your international peers.
Who can apply?
The only condition to take part in the Staff Exchange Programme is to be a member of IETM. Participation is open to any employee of an IETM member organisation - manager, technician, artist, project coordinator, trainee, volunteer, etc. However, individual members (freelancers) can only take part in the exchange if they can provide a valuable experience within an established organisation for a visiting staff exchange participant.
Application deadline: 29 February
What happens next?
You will be invited to join a Skype meeting where you will get to know other participants and present yourself. After that, you will be asked to select the organisation(s) (up to 3 options), which you would like to join for an exchange experience.
We will try to meet the wishes of all the participants.
Expenses
The participating organisation is expected to cover the travel costs of its staff member going on exchange and to provide accommodation to the person they will host.
In cases where the travel costs related to taking part exchange are particularly high, we may be able to provide a travel grant to cover parts of the costs.
