We are coming off X (Formerly Twitter)

As of today, IETM will no longer be using X/Twitter.

Since Elon Musk’s takeover of the platform in 2022, we considerably decreased our activities on the platform in an attempt to evaluate the ethical implications of using it. It is clear to us that it is no longer a creative and free space for us to share our news. 

An investigation by the European Union launched against X, based on the pioneering Digital Services Act, further solidifies this decision. A statement made on 17 January by Henna Virkunnen, the EU´s executive Vice-President for Tech Sovereignty, Security and Democracy, stated:

 ‘Today, we are taking further steps to shed light on the compliance of X's recommender systems with the obligations under the DSA. We are committed to ensuring that every platform operating in the EU respects our legislation, which aims to make the online environment fair, safe, and democratic for all European citizens.’
