I-Portunus mobility scheme launches third call for applications
I-Portunus helps artists and culture professionals take advantage of short-term and flexible cross-border opportunities: to move between European countries, develop international collaborations and audiences, and fully benefit from – and contribute to – Europe’s diverse cultural ecosystems. The call is open to artists and culture professionals active in the fields of the performing or visual arts and legally residing in a country participating in the Creative Europe programme.
Like the second call, group applications and segmented mobilities will remain eligible, however, mobilities must now be between 15 and 60 days and their objective must be either an international collaboration, a production-oriented residency or professional development.
The deadline for the third and last call is 5 September 2019 (14:00 CEST). Results will be announced on 26 September 2019.
You can find out more about the pilot scheme and apply for the call on the i-Portunus website.

"By now, I must say it's one of the easiest, fastest and most effective projects of the EU for mobility of the sector. It took me only 2 hours to apply, very fast answer back (one month) and perfectly on time. It seems the financial report is also very easy. They pay part of the money in advance. Fantastic!" "The process of applications is very fast, efficient and easy. It can be done in under 2h. The reporting is also made very easy and there is not much bureaucracy involved. The amounts are done in lump sum so its also very clear how much funding you are aiming for depending on your trips length, and helps plan in advance. It is a very goal oriented application rather than concept oriented, so as long as you are clear on what the benefits and goals of your trip are it is good bet to get it." "I learned about I-Portunus 2-nd call from an unexpected email from Eva Blaute who was willing to visit Armenia and have a presentation on this pilot project of Creative Europe program. After some research I found out this is a mobility plan covering the expenses for travel, accommodation etc. with a fixed lump sum. By that time, I had got two invitations from Hungary’s important institutions and was thinking if I could make it. I was amazed how simple and free of any complications was designed the application form. I decided to give it a try. And you know what? I got it! And by now I already have fulfilled the first part of my mobility to Hungary, to Sziget Festival admiring its organization, meeting new and old colleagues, making new acquaintances with artists and some important decisions about involving them in the 2020 edition of our ARé performing arts festival and (of course!) just HAVING FUN!"
