Join Jamm’Europe on 5 July
Jamm’Europe, is an ephemeral online platform, an open space to discuss what role culture and the arts can play in the future of Europe. Which scenarios, what policy proposals we cultural players aspire to? How do we envision Europe of Culture?
This spring, Juncker Commission published the white paper on the Future of Europe presenting five possible scenarios for the EU’s future. As a result, Culture Action Europe (CAE) initiated a discussion process among cultural operators to contribute to a vision guiding us into a sustainable future of the European project. CAE are reaching out, taking pulse of the cultural sector from Europe and beyond to collectively shape a cultural scenario. A joint manifesto, drafted by Culture Action Europe and opened for endorsements will be the final result of this reflection exercise.
Culture Action Europe already consulted their members, partners and friends during the CAE hub meetings in Croatia, UK, Italy, Germany, Belgium, Sweden, Hungary and France. See more here. Now it’s the time to open up the discussion to the wider public.
Subscribe for the Jamm’Europe session to share your vision of the Future of Europe that includes culture, arts and education. Your voice and your ideas will shape a collective vision of Europe of Culture! The session will take place on the 5th of July, from 14:00 till 21:00 (CET) and will start with the following kick-off discussion questions:
- Liberté, égalité, fraternité? Let’s talk values
- Citizens, creators or consumers: how can culture sustain the EU?
- Creative or vulnerable: can culture drive positive globalisation?
- Cooperate or corporate: Can we offer alternatives for economic development & the future of work?
