European Semester as a tool to improve working conditions in cultural and creative sectors
This policy report is about how the European Semester can be used for improving working conditions in the cultural and creative sectors. The author has undertaken a brief analysis of how the European Semester can be a tool to stimulate and advance Member States' policies and reforms aimed to improve social and economic status of artists and cultural professionals. The objective of the research was to reveal whether the European Semester can serve as a mechanism to further such reforms, highlight possible ways how this can be done and point out the main policy players and levels at which such changes can be triggered and implemented.
