Gentle Unicorn - Chiara Bersani
“I, Chiara Bersani, 98 cm tall, declare myself flesh, muscle and bone of the unicorn. Not knowing its heart, I’ll try to give it my breath and my eyes. I’ll dress its image up, I’ll make its costume, which will become at first my armour and then my skin. We will discover our movements, our kisses, our greetings, our yawns, by means of a dialogue between my shape that acts and its shape that clothes.”
With these words, Chiara Bersani, an artist who has always placed the body, as a witness of a unique history and as a social and political entity, at the centre of her reflection, introduces her Gentle Unicorn, a mythological figure which today is part of the pop iconography to which the performer returns a story and a body.
