Minotaurus tracks - Carlo Maria Vella
This performance is an experimental work with different non-verbal languages. Theatre, dance and music are braided and integrated together with LIS - Italian Sign Language - used to explain the figure of the Minotaur.
The performance is a path, during which communication plays an essential role.
On stage, deaf and hearing performers become fixed presences that use the body, the signs and movement to represent the Minotaur’s labyrinth and the characters living within. The Minotaur begins a journey of humanisation, looking for its identity.
This project has been developed thanks to the support of Festival del Silenzio 2018, through the call “In principio era il Segno”.
