A.T.C.B.P. (And this could be possible?) - Minoga Dance, followed by a Q&A
A.T.C.B.P. is an allusion to some famous performances made in the 1990s in Russia. This is a study on performance and its meaning in various contexts.
Artists have always challenged not only the traditions of art, but also social norms, moral principles, all in order to achieve a new aesthetic level.
The Performance A.T.C.B.P. is another challenge of the author and choreographer Ilya Manylov for himself. By placing himself in a tight framework of working at the limit of his capacity, the choreographer is trying to expand the boundaries of his artistic capabilities. He wants to tell the old story in a new language, where dance is just one of the various means of expression.
Rethinking performative experience in the Russian art of the 1990s, the artist demonstrates an attitude, often ironic, towards the postmodern era. His task is to push the audience towards unconventional thinking, sensory perception, to stimulate them to abandon the habit of analysing everything.
Choreographer: Ilya Manylov
Duration: 40 minutes
Genre: Dance
Tickets for all performances in the artistic programme are booked for the Caravan participants, courtesy of the Russian Theatre Union.
