SKIN - Elli Papakonstantinou/OΔC Ensemble
“SKIN” is a hybrid performance, inspired by T. Hobbe’s “Leviathan,” with minimal use of text and through the contribution of performers, musicians, and visual artists. It functions as a poetic metaphor for the present condition of a Greek society in crisis and the uprising of a super-empowered state-Leviathan - a conservative doctrine of banks against human rights and free thinking. “SKIN” is a ‘tribute’ to mechanical work, to apathy and resistance. OΔC Ensemble is committed to creating engaged out-of-the-box Art, with the involvement of local communities as an essential within its artistic work. In the last ten years OΔC Ensemble has received distinctions and awards as well as support from the Greek Ministry of Culture and the Arts Council (UK).
