In “Spectacle”, Vasistas deal with learning mechanisms in everyday life. Through exploring different spaces, they create a plastic, human and mobile installation: an illogic circuit of action where people try to train and educate others. On stage they create a network inspired by an electric circuit, an Internet network and a virtual game. This invisible circuit has its own rules, stops, obstacles, crossings, accidents, obligations and repetitions… The dramaturgy is based on scientific experiments, symbols, images, reality functioning, texts and works of the 20th century’s thinkers. Based in Athens, Vasistas create theatre performances that encounter contemporary life, through the use of non-text based or non-narrative dramaturgies. Through work on “Spectacle”, Vasistas has received the honorary distinction of the National Association of Critics of theatre and music for an innovative theatre play.
