As part of the IETM Plenary Meeting 2025, Figurentheater Grashüpfer, Schaubude Berlin and Das Weite Theater invite you on a unique guided tour along the Ringbahn.

Discover three key venues of independent contemporary puppet, figure and object theater in Berlin. While Das Weite Theater operates as an independent ensemble, Schaubude Berlin and Figurentheater Grashüpfer function as venues for guest performances and production spaces.

This tour offers an up-close look at the diversity of Berlin’s independent puppet, figure and object theater scene. Meet its artists, explore its stages and gain insight into different artistic approaches and working methods.

The tour starts at Schaubude Berlin, continues by „Ringbahn“ to Das Weite Theater, and concludes in the courtyard of Figurentheater Grashüpfer in Treptower Park.

Snacks (vegetarian/vegan), drinks, coffee and tea will be provided at no cost to the participants. 

Moderation by representatives from each venue.

• Elevator access to all locations where activity will take place and to toilets

• The route from Schaubude to S-Bahn Greifswalder Str. and from S-Bahn Storkower to Das Weite Theater has a walking distance of around 5 minutes max each, and the platforms in the stations are accessible by elevator. The route continues from Das Weite Theater back to S-Bahn Storkower Str. and via „Ringbahn (S41/S42)“ to S-Bahn Treptower Park, which is also accessible by elevator. From the S-Bahn station Treptower Park, participants will have to walk 500 meters through the park, which takes about 6 minutes. 
• A taxi from Das Weite Theater to Figurentheater Grashüpfer takes between 20 and 40 minutes, depending on traffic
• Taxi drop-off point at all venues
  • Schaubude Berlin: around the corner, on the side street of the theatre, on the corner of Greifswalder Str. / Storkower Str.
  • Das Weite Theater: Right at the corner of Storkower Str./  Franz Jacob Str. From there, it is 5-10 meters to the elevator (theatre entrance).
  • Parking space at Figurentheater Grashüpfer: Please tell the taxi to take the Bundesstraße B 96a towards Treptower Hafen // Parkplatz Treptower Hafen. From the parking area, it’s around a 3-minute walk to the theatre.
