How can we offer a tech-aware, artistically meaningful alternative to corporate narratives of ‘innovation’? How can we bridge technological literacy gaps across audiences and cultural institutions?

Join a discussion on how performing artists and culture-makers can use technology in times of polarisation, algorithmic megastructures and eco-crisis. Starting with examples from Berlin's scene, participants will brainstorm how technology can sustain a conscious, hopeful engagement of artists in society.

First, participants will discover Fronte Vacuo’s practice where AI, robotics and biotechnology combine in participative, sensorially charged performances, and learn about the community work of tanz:digital in bringing together like-minded artists.

By working in groups, participants will then brainstorm ways to nurture cultural resistance through practical and conceptual approaches to technology. They will visualise ideas using a wonderwall and crafting tableaux of images and words that can serve as future roadmaps.
