Offensive Tanz für junges Publikum
Dance for young audiences – Aesthetic insights and exchange with artists and stakeholders of the Berlin independent scene
Organisation: Offensive Tanz für junges Publikum
Address: Wiesenburg, Wiesenstraße 55, 13357 Berlin-Wedding | Event Map
Meeting point: Participants will meet on the main plaza of the Wiesenburg. Please enter the site from Wiesenstraße 55. Please note - if you enter the address on Google Maps by foot, it may lead you to the other side of Panke River, which is not the right place. When you walk down the alley you will see the group. There will be Offensive Tanz posters on the gate of Wiesenstraße 55.
This session will start with a visit to the site of Wiesenburg in Wedding, where choreographer Isabelle Schad has her studio and will speak in the beautiful garden about her intergenerational approach. We will also hear about “Offensive Tanz für junges Publikum”, a network which was founded to strengthen dance as an art form within Berlin's cultural landscape and about the soon to open Junges Tanzhaus Berlin.
On a bus ride with the “Kulturbus” initiative, which takes around 20.000 children yearly from their creches and schools to theaters in Berlin, participants will then discover PURPLE - International Dance Festival for Young Audiences.
At Theater o.N. in Prenzlauer Berg, participants are invited to a dress rehearsal of “Baobab – A dance performance with live music” (2+) by Cíntia Rangel and a talk with the artist afterwards.
Flat shoes are recommended. Coffee, tea, water and snacks will be provided at no cost to the participants.
