How can humour serve as a choreographic, aesthetic and political tool in cultural praxis? How can it foster resilience and social cohesion in times of crisis, uncertainty and political tension?
This workshop explores humour as a liberating cultural technique, emphasising its systemic relevance in tackling complex issues, questioning power structures and fostering resilience and community cohesion.
Through a mix of theoretical inputs, group discussions and hands-on exercises led by a group of Berlin-based artists, participants will identify humour's essential qualities and functions, discovering its potential as a subversive strategy for reflection, criticism, conflict resolution and crisis management.
Ideal for artists, project managers and cultural producers, this workshop offers practical tools to integrate humor into cultural practices, enhancing resilience and promoting cohesive, productive work environments.
Please bring comfortable training clothes, something to make notes on and water.
