‘Dabke’, a traditional Levantine folk dance (Lebanon, Palestine, Syria, Jordan), has long been associated with solidarity and resistance. Nancy Nasr Al Deen will lead an introductory workshop to Dabke and will share how this powerful dance form can be used as a tool for empowerment. Dabke is a line/circle dance widely performed at weddings and other celebrations.
