The session will give us a glimpse into the current development of Poblats Marítims, an area commonly called ‘Cabanyal’. The traditional, modest living conditions that are confronted by ongoing gentrification put the neighbourhood at a crossroads. Preservation of its identity or rampant modernisation? Further gentrification or sustainable development? Cultural initiatives can play a notable role in determining the future.
