ROUTE 4: Swimmer – EnÁmbar Danza
Who does not swim shall drown. When we are afraid to fight our fears, we often stand still. Swimmer (“NADAdora”) invites us to combat this by swimming in our own personal “oceans”. Using contemporary dance, performance, literature, live music and audiovisuals, this interdisciplinary project considers the concept of ‘nada’ (nothing, a vacuum) as an absence of elements that we can hold onto. Meanwhile, ‘nadar’ (swimming) acts as a metaphor for resistance.
EnÁmbar Danza aesthetically reflects on her last project where we can see significant influences from Losquequedan, La Intrusa, El Pont Flotant, Enrique Vila-Matas and Paul Auster.
