ROUTE 4: Molar – Quim Bigas Bassart
Molar is a nearly semiotic work about emotions, particularly happiness. Using the word Molar as a pretext, it reflects on emotions as agreed behavioural norms. Through engagement and a lack of inhibition, the conventional norms are broken. Why don’t we challenge the exchange of emotions and why don't we express emotions through our bodies?
Quim Bigas, choreographer and performer since 2007, feels influenced by the collections of Jacint Bassart and Joaquima Vallès. Influence is also sourced from the work, touch and actions of Aitana Cordero.
