ROUTE 2: Thursday Today – Mateusz
A tribute to our ancestors, a jump into the ocean of the past. Why don’t we like to walk into the unexplored territory of death? Mateusz does. Through the personal experiences of its creator, Miquel Mateu, Thursday Today realises a plastic performance of The Passion of Christ. Formulated within the Death Theater of Tadeusz Kantor, the work exhibits clear influences from Andrej Welminski and Jonathan Grieve. With zero budget and 8 performers from 5 countries, Thursday Today breaches the realms of scenic poetry and sculptural work.
“This performance is characterised by the blending of fine arts, language diversity and the work of performers from different countries and ethnicities” La Vanguardia.
