Square One - Croí Glan
Square One is a site-specific quartet that has been commissioned for the D-CAF Festival using four local Egyptian dancers, two of whom have physical disabilities. Based on conceptual artist Richard Tuttle’s idea that “square one is when you get to the point where life and art become one,” and poet Mary Oliver’s idea of the “soft animal self,” Square One explores our everyday experiences of dance, movement and the daily embodied joy of our soft animal selves.
