I Listen You See - Hamdi Dridi (Emerging Arab Performing Programme)
The idea behind this choreography is the interaction between sound and movement and the possibilities to transform daily sounds and movements in all their scope into dance. Inspired by the workers in Tunisia, Hamdi Dridi uses the fusion between the rough movements of the worker’s body and the artistic movement of the dancer’s body to create a free and elusive space beyond time and place.
The Emerging Arab Performing Programme is curated by Nedjma Haj Ali.

Hamdi Dridi started his dancing career in Tunis at the Cie Sybel Theater Ballet. He created the solos EGALE and TU MEUR(S) DE TERRE. His general focus lies on dance in combination with sound, a topic he also explores in I Listen (You) See, his latest work.
