Decolonising imagination
The organisation Decolonising the arts brings together artists and professionals from the arts and culture sector in France to fight the discrimination of people from post-colonial and minority backgrounds - 30% of the French population - whose stories, memories, imaginations and aesthetics are almost absent from the stage.
Decolonising the arts offers solutions on all scales to transform this reality.
This workshop will question the assumptions that penetrate the discourses and practices of the sector when it comes to such topics as hierarchisation of cultures, plurality of aesthetics and professional structures.
