New work for three female dancers - Dorte Olesen (D.O.P)
A trio for three female dancers. This is a study of survival, stimulation and relationships.
About vulnerability, exclusion and transformations. And the hunger for love. I want to create meeting. Person to person. To create dialogue, content, respect. I focus on the individual and the dialogue between bodies. I believe in a universal language which is created by the body.
Danish-born choreographer Dorte Olesen’s creative genius can be expressed in one, single statement – she breaks all the rules. One central theme in Dorte Olesen’s art is the question of why overstepping the boundaries of convention is such a taboo. Olesen provokes the audience to think again, regardless of whether they do it from anger or delight. As a spectator you can never be completely sure whether it is going to be pleasant or provocative.
