In the Mirror, a solo choreography in the footsteps of Maya Deren - Kajsa Sandström
Choreographer and dancer Kajsa Sandström explores the relation between movement and image; how the eye of the reflecting surface experiences the body on the other side of a mirror wall. The movement takes place in the room, the projected space and the choreography of gazes, through perception. Welcome into the studio for a half hour performance inspired by Maya Deren's thoughts and work!
Kajsa Sandström (SE) is a Stockholm based dancer and choreographer working internationally. Recent touring: I need a witness to perform, 2009, in collaboration with David Bergé, Con/text: Body of an absent Lady Han, 2010, with Ylva Henrikson and Maline Casta. Kajsa was a student at PARTS, Brussels 2000-2004.
