Culture and cultures: honing your multicultural skills
Each country has its own culture, which influences people's practice of their professions. How should cultural differences be taken into account in the context of increasing mobility among artists, arts companies, and cultural workers? It has clearly become essential to understand the ways cultural specificity affects collaborative projects. With a minimum of understanding and training, we may begin to be able to avoid unpleasant surprises and frustration, not to mention lost time and investments. The person leading this workshop specializes in conflict resolution between people from different countries and gives regular coaching sessions to negotiators, expatriates, and managers of multicultural teams in the carrying-out of their business projects. She will discuss the main aspects of the cultural dimension and its impact on work and on relations among individuals. Her presentation will be interspersed with practical exercises.
