FIGHT! PALAST #membersonly / PENG! Palast
This production deals with the alleged freedom and self-determination of generation Y in a critical way. The basis of this project lies in the actors’ own biographies—daily routines and experiences in badly paid side jobs, smelly and stuffy kickboxing basements and cosy support groups. Inspired by the novel Fight Club by Chuck Palahniuk, PENG! Palast creates its own fighting arena to live out suppressed desires, only to get knocked out by its own utopias.
Only those who are willing to risk defeat have the ability to win. Will YOU be accepted? #membersonly!?
Through the examination of their biographies, fears and desires, PENG! Palast (Bern, Switzerland) condenses theatre classics or bestsellers into a personal space to create a realistic and contiguous experience for the audience. The direct interaction with the audience is part of their programme.
