Boudicca - Articulture & WOAC (LLAWN Festival)
Boudicca was commissioned for development in 2018 by Articulture and The Welsh Outdoor Arts Consortium (WOAC).
The concept is a street style ‘walkabout’ show built onto the performer’s mobility scooter, with bespoke mechanical adaptations and beautiful decoration, which we are calling ‘The wheelabouts’.
Boudicca’s chariot and mechanical puppet horse will interact with children and adults alike. She is searching for followers to join her army as she scours the area looking for Romans to ‘Punish’.
Boudicca will mark her army of children and adults with her woad emblem (face paint), and judge the ‘Roman-ness’ of others before meeting out her justice.
