The European Republic under construction brings the debate on European democracy right to the heart of Munich. The European Republic prompts us to think outside the box and offers an alternative to current discourses of national segregation and an increasingly identitarian mainstream. Can politics really be influenced by theatre and literature?

In this frame, on the 10th of November at 4 pm, artists and citizens, in public spaces throughout Europe, will call for a European Republic by proclaiming a Manifesto written by Ulrike Guérot, Robert Menasse and Milo Rau, the so-called European Balcony Project.
