Through this IETM Caravan, you had the opportunity to meet many cultural operators throughout Poland (from Gdansk to Krakow, Poznan to Wroclaw and of course Warsaw and Lublin).

We also proposed you to extend your stay to visit the Konfrontacje festival in Lublin.

This caravan was limited to 20 foreign participants (a few places were available for non-members of IETM) and our Polish hosts offered 4 days of accommodation for the first 10 people to register.

From October 16th to 19th 2010, IETM, in partnership with the Lublin Culture Center / Provisorium Theatre and Narodowy Instytut Audiowizualny (National Audiovisual Institute), offered the opportunity to meet key cultural operators from two Polish cities: Warsaw and Lublin.

The artistic scene of these two cities is flourishing but was still not well enough known by IETM members. Warsaw, the capital, and its urban plan, is being transformed and boasts a lively alternative scene.

Lublin is bidding to be the European Cultural Capital in 2016 and for this reason the next two years will witness the construction of four new spaces for performing arts. Bordering Ukraine and Belorussia, Lublin is also a gateway for artists from the former Soviet Union.

We proposed an IETM Caravan with visits to theatres, rehearsal spaces, including meetings with key local operators, and neighbouring artists.

This visit was also a preparation for the IETM Plenary Meeting in Cracow in October 2011.
