FAQs 15 May Journeys
On this page, you can find all frequently asked questions about the Berlin Journeys. For all questions related to the meeting in general, head here. Please also use the IETM Forum to ask any additional questions you may have.
- When can I register?
You can sign up for all Journeys on 8 April. You will need to login to your IETM account, view the programme and select the Journey you’re interested in by clicking on the ‘Book Journey’ button.
- I want to attend more than one Journey. Is this possible?
You can only sign up for one Journey. Due to the complexities of up to 500 participants undertaking 23 different Journeys around Berlin, you also cannot combine different elements from different journeys. Please do not attempt to attend a Journey for which you are not signed up – capacities are limited and this will create logistical and safety issues for the hosts.
- Is there a maximum capacity per session?
Yes, each Journey has a maximum capacity, so please make sure you sign up for your preference as early as possible.
- Can I change the Journey I want to attend after I have booked?
Yes. You will first need to cancel your booking for the Journey you have already signed up for. You can do this via the confirmation email you received when you signed up for the Journey (see the bottom of the email). Then you are free to book on another Journey. Please note that you will only be able to sign up for Journeys that have spaces remaining - you will be unable to access the registration form once it’s full.
- Can I register for both myself and a colleague/friend?
You can only register yourself for one Journey at a time. If you wish to attend a Journey with a colleague or friend, then they must register themselves for the same Journey.
- How do I get from one session to another?
A small number of Journeys have transport included; where this is the case, it is clearly marked in the description. For all other Journeys, you are responsible for organising your own travel to the start of the Journey and between the different parts of the Journey if it involves more than one activity. We have marked approximate travel times between locations where there is more than one session as part of a Journey, however please also check this information yourself in line with your own needs.

- Where can I find out more about the access provision for each Journey?
The description for each Journey includes access and content warnings at the bottom of each page. This information has been provided by the Journey hosts and has not been independently verified by IETM. If you have any questions about this information, or about anything else related to access, please contact us on registration@ietm.org.
Please note that captioning is not provided for every journey as standard and may not be possible for every Journey. If you require captioning, please contact us on registration@ietm.org with details of the Journey you would prefer to attend and we will work with the Journey hosts to find the best solution for your requirements.
- Can I propose a session to contribute towards the programme?
Unfortunately we are no longer able to accept any proposals for the day.
You will receive an email with practical information regarding your Journey approximately two days before the start of the meeting.
