Who am I today?Centre Français de Berlin
Centre Français de Berlin
Address: Müllerstraße 74, 13349 Berlin, Germany | Map To kick off the session, the group and Jo Mangan, using her own background as an artist, producer, curator and activist, will examine the advantages of what can sometimes disparagingly be referred to as a portfolio career. The session is designed to respond to the growing necessity for artists to take the creativity of the rehearsal room into other aspects of their work. This in-depth session will explore ways to find a path that will allow us to create meaningful work in a seemingly never-ending hustle of funding applications, pitching, and networking. The focus will be on identifying opportunities masquerading as insurmountable problems. Facilitator Jo Mangan, Curator and Director, The Performance Corporation, Ireland |

Inclusion, Diversity and Equality: Where are we heading?Centre Français de Berlin
Centre Français de Berlin
Address: Müllerstraße 74, 13349 Berlin, Germany | Map As phenomenology teaches us, there is no one universal world. Our perspective informs our perception. Therefore, we create a self by relating to what we might, or tend to, consider as not ourselves. This process occurs through a fabric of interrelationality and intersectionality within and with-out very vibrant power dynamics.
This session will offer a context in which together we will address these burning questions. By sharing our particular experiences, perhaps we will learn of alternative ways to participate in alternative worlds. Facilitator Israel Aloni, ILDANCE, Sweden |
