In the city
Polverigi is a village strongly defined by its mediaeval architecture. As with many historical places in Italy, not everywhere may be fully accessible for people with reduced mobility, especially when wandering through the more ancient part. Most restaurants, bars and shops in Italy fulfil the accessibility requirements by law (e.g. accessible bathrooms), with few exceptions when historical conditions of the building prevent them.
Accessibility in terms of information (websites, captions, etc.) are generally taken into consideration by public and private institutions (e.g. bus service), but currently there are no mandatory requirements on the subject in Italy, so conditions may vary.
At the campus
We aim to make the IETM Campus Polverigi as accessible as possible for our participants. Due to budget restrictions and being dependent on the local infrastructure, we cannot always guarantee that the conditions will be the same from one meeting to another. Nevertheless, for this meeting we are able to:
- Send you a large print version of the programme;
- Offer free registration for your support worker;
- Ensure that all the venues hosting the programme are wheelchair accessible.
If you have any questions about the accessibility at the IETM Campus, please get in touch with us by writing to ietm@ietm.org.
Main meeting venues
Villa Nappi
Villa Nappi is a historic building of the XVII century, placed on the ruins of an ancient Augustinian monastery and surrounded by a centuries-old park. Nowadays, it is dedicated to artistic residencies and research. Villa Nappi is equipped with several rehearsal and meeting rooms, a guesthouse for up to 30 people, a kitchen, bar and restaurant, price agreed upon with Marche Teatro.
Villa Nappi is a wheelchair accessible venue. There is a small platform at the entrance, adapted for wheelchair users, and a few steps to reach the rehearsal/meeting area, where we can provide a specific platform upon request.
There are several accessible bathrooms across the venue. Certain bedrooms are also equipped with accessible bathrooms.
More detailed information on accessibility needs are accessible upon request.

Please be aware that local COVID-19 regulations may affect your journey as well as the meeting until the very last minute.
As of 1 June 2022, all COVID-19 entry restrictions have been lifted. When entering Italy, foreign citizens are no longer required to show a negative PCR test, a rapid antigen test, proof of recovery or a vaccination certificate, regardless of which country they come from.
Nevertheless, the general advice from the Italian health authorities should still be followed, and general infection prevention recommendations should be taken into account. We recommend that you regularly check the latest regulations and requirements leading up to your trip. For the latest information on COVID-19 travel regulations, please check the official governmental information here.
Make sure to also check if there are any restrictions when returning to your home country from Italy. If you travel by land, COVID-19 entry restrictions may differ depending on the countries that you cross. For an updated overview of the regulations in place around the globe, check here.
