BRDCST Festival
Address: Arduinkaai 7 Quai aux Pierres de Taille 1000 Brussels | Event Map | Venue Accessibility
For our first IETM Focus Meeting in Brussels, we have tried to go beyond our usual performing arts programme recommendations and have chosen to also share relevant cultural activities from other disciplines.
BRDCST showcases the best of avant-garde pop, futuristic hip-hop, grime, African black metal, Chicago footwork, jazz, electronic music, contemporary classical, improv and more.
Saturday’s line-up could not be more diverse. The Japanese FUJI|||||||||||TA makes the organ hip again, while Bitchin Bajas pay tribute to the jazz god Sun Ra with Switched On Ra, and Londoner Wu-Lu performs his unique blend of grunge, post-punk, dub and rap. Violinist Elisabeth Klinck and cellist Judith Hamann will also administer a healthy dose of experimental music. Christina Vantzou gets audiences dreaming away with music that floats between post-classical, ambient and experimental. Electronica producer Hiro Kone produces an impressive blend of sound design, neoclassical, spoken word and mutant techno. You can dance away to M I M I‘s Afrofuturist DJ sets filled with jungle, UK bass and garage. Furthermore, Circuit des Yeux comes to BRDCST with her magnificent album -io. She will leave no soul unmoved.
