Fair Enough?
In 2022, IETM opened a new chapter. It is time to figure out how each of us – no matter what role within the sector we play – can, in small and large steps, advance the fair and green transition of the performing arts sector. We intend to move from reflection mode to action mode and come together for network brainstorms in the coming years – under the title IETM Focus.
The first IETM Focus was a space to explore, critique and improve our work practices and conditions. Are they fair enough? Human enough? What does “fair'' mean in your specific professional context? What practices and conditions can you and your organisation change and what is beyond your power? Which actions could you take, to influence broader systemic change?
On 7 and 8 April, we came back to Brussels, the ‘city of diversity and contrasts’, for this two-day brainstorming event. In this first IETM Focus Meeting we outlined the diverse and common strategies of IETM members for a fair, equal and inclusive performing arts ecosystem.
It goes without saying that we also had enough time to meet new faces, network, catch up with old friends and colleagues, as well as experience the diversity of the Belgian performing arts scene.
Maximum capacity: 200 participants
The IETM Focus Meeting was a members activity, but non-members were also welcome to take part.
The IETM Focus Brussels 2022 happened as part of our Creative Europe project The New International in the Performing Arts (NIPA): Bridging local and global.
