What to expect in the facilitated workshops

Over the course of two days, participants will follow a series of facilitated workshops, challenging us as practitioners to devise relevant and proactive approaches to two key themes. There is no obligation to prepare for these workshops but if you would like to think about them in advance, we have provided an overview below of questions we will be considering as part of the workshop activities:

Theme: The Rules of the Game

• What are the resources required for an international collaboration?
• What should be the principles of distributing those resources fairly in order to ensure our partnerships are equitable and our work is environmentally sustainable?
• How could funders assess whether resources have been distributed fairly as part of a collaborative international project?

Theme: Rework the System

• What should and can we do as a global performing arts community to transform the current economic and political systems?
• What are some of the current barriers to systems change in our society?
• What concrete actions can we take as individuals and organisations in the cultural sector that can serve as catalysts for change?
