The ZAT -Temporary Artistic Zone - fixes an appointment with you on saturday, the 19th april of april, from 8 pm until dawn

The ZAT - Temporary Artistic Zone - is a major artistic and cultural event that has been held twice a year, between 2010 and 2012, in public spaces of Montpellier. The aims of these events are: to explore a different neighbourhood, to stimulate the urban imagination, to invite to see and live the city from a different point of view. The artistic program is multidisciplinary - performing arts, visual arts, street art, performances, - adapted to the urban context and participatory. The ZAT is aimed at the whole population. Since 2010, more than 200 performances have been done by French and international artists. Hundreds of residents have been involved in the artistic projects.

A ZAT in the nature by night
The 8th ZAT will take place on Saturday, on the 19th of April, from 8 pm until dawn in the park Malbosc, a large green area of more than 30 hectares made of garigues, pastures, olive trees, almond trees, gardens and bushes.
This edition is going to be in the nature, by night. The principal guest, the Carabosse company, well-known around the world for its flames’ command, will set up its incredible fire machines in Malbosc. Also on the program: two concerts by Piers Faccini, “entre chiens et loups”, at twilight and at dawn; “Sous l’ombrelle”, a duet by François Chaignaud and Jérôme Marin that invites us to a great inversion of genders; “Ciel”, a performance by Jordi Galì; “la Nuit des mille et une Nuits” by Jihad Darwiche, a concert of Dimoné, a poetic performance by NaTYo et My Tiger Side, “Bois, putes, oiseaux”, etc.
