Covid-19 travel regulations
Before booking your travel, please check the travel regulations of your destination. Please make sure to also check here the list of countries whose citizens can get into Spain without restrictions. Finally, please also check the regulations of the country where you are based, which might still limit the destinations to which you can travel.
Please be aware that local Covid-19 regulations may affect your journey as well as the meeting until the very last minute. For the latest information please feel free to check the official governmental information for Catalonia here.
Accessibility
Although Girona is a medieval town, most places and streets are step free or have a step free alternative and the original pavements have been widened. The city also provides accessible pedestrian signals for the visually impaired.
For a complete overview of what is available, check the Girona Tourism for All guide.
It is our aim to make IETM Girona as accessible as possible. However, it may not be possible to offer services at every location and, therefore, we recommend that you check the location of your interest. To know more about accessibility for the IETM Girona Satellite Meeting, please jump to Location or Accommodation.
The accessibility of each venue will be uploaded upon confirmation of the full programme. All accessibility details which are provided online are collected based on the information received from the venues' staff and their websites. If you need more information, please get in touch with venues directly.
At the meeting
There will be a range of accessibility services available.
As we have budget restrictions and are dependent on the local infrastructure, we cannot always guarantee that the conditions will be the same from one meeting to another. Nevertheless, for this meeting we are able to:
- Offer a free registration to your support worker;
- Send you a large print version of the programme;
- Provide speech-to-text captions for all plenary sessions of the meeting programme – details of these services will be available online upon confirmation of the full programme;
- Ensure that all the venues hosting the working programme and artistic performances are wheelchair accessible.
All captioned sessions will be specified on this page upon confirmation of the final programme.
Location
Girona is located about one hour and a half away from Barcelona and one hour from the French border. Placed between the Pyrynees and the Mediterranean, it is also an extremely well-preserved medieval town that is home to a vibrant cultural scene.
